Toilet Zone Sequel
For a few weeks now, I've been working on the sequel to my Miz Jam 1 entry, Toilet Zone.
The original was a tough "platformer" (you died if you touched the walls or floor) made in 48 hours using art assets produced by Kenney.
One of the changes for the new game is the art. This time, I'll be making all of the art assets myself.
Here's what the new player sprite(right) looks like compared to the old one(left):
I'm also making the area's more detailed, as well as adding new types.
Here's what the new purple area looks like so far:
From the picture above, you'll also see that the duck is separated from the toilet. This time, you will be able to enter and exit the toilet. You can also make contact with the walls and floor as long as you aren't moving too fast.
Another change is updated water particles. Before, they just went through the environment. Now, they collide with it. The version of Godot Engine that I'm using doesn't support collision particles right now, so I wrote one using raycasts.
Since this video has been uploaded, I've optimized it further and improved the look of them.
The pricing of the game will depend on how the end product turns out. If it has a cost, there will definitely be a demo at the least.
I will try to make regular updates as I build this. If you want to try it out, I'll hopefully have a demo soon.
